Some places are made to stand out, while some are made to blend in with their surroundings. While The Masseria falls in the latter category, it doesn’t just camouflage to be forgotten, but blends with its natural surroundings to be one with it. For instance, some of its rooms are the original caves of the first settlers that lived there more than a couple hundred years ago.
What’s even more beautiful is that while trying to preserve history through its interiors and artefacts, there’s an element of imagination and a scope for the whimsical that doesn’t seem out of place at all!
