Gramercy Park

Master designer Ian Schraeger has upped the stakes again by launching an entirely new genre of hotel. After his headline-grabbing split with the Morgan hotel group, Schraeger and his team have partnered this time with famed artist Julian Schnabel and British architect John Pawson to revitalise the Gramercy Park’s Haute Bohemian heritage with a fresh 21st century look. Using an original combination of styles, dramatic contemporary pieces of art and a bold use of colour, the result is an extraordinary hotel with an air of genuine exclusivity and originality. The 185 guest rooms and luxury suites are decadently furnished with a refined glamour reminiscent of old Manhattan, and an extraordinary art collection straight out of MOMA (including pieces from Warhol, Basquiat, Hirst & of course by Schnabel himself). Rub shoulders with NYC’s elite at the exclusive members only Private Roof Club & Garden, and the glamourous Rose & Jade Bars downstairs.
